Under his own name he posts Newfoundland-flavoured cooking videos, including a Jiggs dinner video captioned 'Jiggs dinner #newfoundland #jiggs #dinner', and he is best known for chicken recipes - bacon chicken roll-ups, chicken chili and the like - on TikTok and Facebook. His videos lean on Newfoundland sayings and humour, and locals share them the way they once passed on recipes over the fence. The 'Jimmy Chicken' nickname circulates informally with his chicken-dinner fame; it is not used in press coverage.
