Games
Come in. Pull up a chair.
Them days you sent a youngster up the road to say there was a game on. Now you send the code, and if a chair's still empty when you deal, one of the regulars takes it.

Got a place worth the drive?
Down the road
Well, Sunday after Mass we'd walk it. Start at the gate and go down, and every house along here I'll tell you who's in it.
Harbour Grace Airfield
harbour-grace · The Baccalieu Trail
The Conception Bay runway where the world's fliers aimed themselves at Europe.
Harbour Grace's airfield was built in 1927 after a community fundraiser joined by $14,500 in government funding, making the town a prime launch point for transatlantic attempts. Newfoundland's aviation boom followed the 1919 Daily Mail prize era that began with Alcock and Brown's flight from Lester's Field and saw Amelia Earhart stage through Trepassey in 1928; Harbour Grace's own most famous departure was Earhart's solo flight of May 1932. The Conception Bay Museum tells the airfield's story.
