Games
Come in. Pull up a chair.
Them days you sent a youngster up the road to say there was a game on. Now you send the code, and if a chair's still empty when you deal, one of the regulars takes it.

Got a place worth the drive?
Down the road
Well, Sunday after Mass we'd walk it. Start at the gate and go down, and every house along here I'll tell you who's in it.
Gander on 9/11 and Come From Away
gander · The Trans-Canada
38 planes, 7,000 strangers, one small town - and a musical that told the world.
On 11 September 2001, when US airspace closed, 38 planes with roughly 6,600-7,000 passengers and crew were diverted to Gander, a town of about 10,000. For five days residents housed, fed and sheltered the stranded travellers in schools, halls and homes - an effort commemorated at sites around Gander and later by the Tony-winning musical 'Come From Away' by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, which the town now celebrates with its own Come From Away visitor experience. The story is documented town history, not embellishment.
How to get there
Gander on the Trans-Canada: the monument and WTC steel are at the North Atlantic Aviation Museum, with the Come From Away experience in town.
