Games
Come in. Pull up a chair.
Them days you sent a youngster up the road to say there was a game on. Now you send the code, and if a chair's still empty when you deal, one of the regulars takes it.

Got a place worth the drive?
Down the road
Well, Sunday after Mass we'd walk it. Start at the gate and go down, and every house along here I'll tell you who's in it.
Fogo Island
fogo-island · The Kittiwake Coast
Fifteen communities on one island off Newfoundland's northeast - outport culture, rugged and alive.
Fogo Island off the northeast coast is among Newfoundland's earliest documented fishing grounds, named on Portuguese charts of the 1500s-1600s, and today comprises a collection of long-settled outport communities that retain a strong fishing economy and distinctive culture. The island has become internationally known for striking contemporary architecture (the Fogo Island Inn and artist studios) built alongside, not instead of, the traditional fishery.
How to get there
Routes 330-335 to the Farewell ferry (about 50 minutes across); on the island take in Brimstone Head, the museum at Fogo, and Tilting to the east.
